- Haringey is one of the London boroughs. "Haringey Heroes" is a project that aims to celebrate the lives of different community volunteers, "heroes" who have been serving their community in a hidden way for many years. Interviews were carried out by trained volunteers who also learnt photography techniques, editing and media making. This blog wants to be an online photography exhibition that tells the stories of these people, to serve as an encouragement to get other people volunteer, to work on community cohesion and to celebrate service. That means that people are given the opportunity to share their lives whilst simultaneously celebrating and inspiring others to give to their community.
